Skilled negotiators change communication styles to cater to the outcome they want to achieve. What is the other party’s communication style? Maybe you can counter it. Take a break if your emotions are not helping.

As a trade business owner, know the drivers of your clients and what they may not be telling you. As a tradie, you should not give concessions for free. You must get something in return. Remember that every interaction can be an opportunity to effect the outcome.
