TAXABLE PAYMENTS ANNUAL REPORTS
If your business provides:
- Building & construction services; or
- Cleaning services; or
- Road freight & courier services; or
- Information technology services; or
- Security, investigation or surveillance services.
And you engage contractors in your business, you may be required to lodge a Taxable Payments Annual Report (TPAR).
TPARs are required to be lodged annually by the 28th of August.
The purpose of the TPAR system is to compel businesses to provide the ATO with data on the contractors they engage so that they can ensure those contractors are meeting their tax obligations. The objective being to create a level playing field for the benefit of all industry participants.
