Jamie Johns
Jamie is passionate about motivating clients to follow their vision and give them the knowledge, tools and confidence to achieve whatever they set their mind to. Jamie spends most of his time out of the office talking to clients and understanding their needs.
Before founding Sky Accounting, Jamie worked for various accountancy firms advising on taxation and business information systems after graduating with a business degree from the University of Ballarat. Jamie loves the ‘Cloud Revolution’ and how it is revolutionising the way businesses operate.
Jamie is an entrepreneur at heart, starting ‘Sky Accountants’ from his home office. He specialises in helping business owners ‘build a business that can run without them’.
He is a Fellow of the Institute of Public Accountants (FIPA), a Registered Tax Agent and a Registered Agent for the Australian Securities and Investment Commission (ASIC). He is also a Sellability Agent for Australia. Jamie is married with four children and competes in pro-running with Athletics Victoria. His all-time favourite movie is 127 Hours and current favourite book is The Automatic Customer by John Warrillow.

Ashley Carmichael
As a Client Manager, Ashley delivers personalised accounting and taxation services to small and medium-sized businesses, individuals, SMSF’s and Not for Profit Organisations. Ashley is also our Gisborne Office Manager.
Ashley attended RMIT in Melbourne to gain his business degree and is a Chartered Accountant. He loves complex and technical tax issues.
Areas of expertise include, property matters involving self managed superannuation funds and complex tax issues. Industry areas of specialisation include the IT industry, Dentists and building and construction, including sub-contractors.
His holistic approach results in a personalised service that covers not only compliance obligations, but also helps to build and protect clients’ financial positions. Ashley lives in Sunbury with his spouse and two children. He likes to travel to new places and loves to swim.

Senior Client Manager
Paul Dowler
As a Client Manager, Paul is hands-on helping clients and rarely without a smile. He’s passionate about cloud accounting and the Xero Eco system.
Paul has solid tax and business experience with small to medium-sized businesses in various fields, including real estate agents, retail and property developers, plus experience with business valuations and due diligence assignments. He loves working for clients in the travel and tourism industry, including the building and construction industry.
Paul’s passion is KPI monitoring and virtual CFO management, finding and comparing industry benchmarks and monitoring self imposed targets.
He graduated from the University of Ballarat with a Bachelor of Commerce/Bachelor of Management. Outside of work, Paul likes spending time with his son, going to the beach, watching good movies, eating good food and meeting up with family and friends. Paul loves to play racquetball and work out.

Tracey Hunter
Tracey focuses on providing highly personalised service to businesses of all descriptions and sizes, as well as self-managed superannuation funds and not-for-profit organisations. Tracey has a Bachelor of Business and Commerce from Monash, a Diploma of Advanced Accounting is SMSF’s and is a registered Tax Agent and member of ICAA.
With a passion for ensuring her clients wellbeing is always front of mind, Tracey strives to ensure her clients understand their businesses in order to ensure they get the best results possible. Her aim is to enable entrepreneurs to start off on the right foot and to ensure that existing businesses focus on maintaining the right work/life balance to ensure their business is working for both them and their families while it continues to grow.
Outside the office, you will often find Tracey on a badminton court, or enjoying the breeze in her hair from the back of her husband’s motorbike!
